Reflections from Thuy's experience
My piece on Miss Saigon Musical controversy

Vietnamese Amerasians are the children of Vietnamese national mothers and American Vietnam Veterans from the Vietnam War Era. Thuy Smith is Amerasian and was born in Vietnam. Thuy considers herself a more fortunate Amerasian since she was able  to know and grow up with her American father. Thuy has been contacted throughout the years both by Vietnamese Amerasians and American Vietnam War Veterans for assistance in finding their child or father.  Thuy and her organization was nominated for a state award for her work with helping refugees.
